The room is ideal for a couple with a child or for three people. An extra bed is set up in a cozy alcove, separated by an authentic screen from the Napoleon III era.
History and comfort
Like all the rooms at Château Picol, "Framboise" is furnished with 19th century pieces and retains all the charm of an old castle.
The room features:
• a large double bed;
• a separate bed for a child or an adult;
• the possibility of installing a baby cot (flat rate of €22 for the duration of the stay);
• a bathroom with shower and toilet;
• windows overlooking the central part of the park.
Atmosphere
The windows offer a view of the central part of the castle grounds. The calm is disturbed only by birdsong and, sometimes, by the hooting of an owl at dusk, creating that rare feeling of living to the rhythm of an ancient castle.
Evening at the castle
Upon request, we serve dinner in the castle dining room, near the fireplace, or on the terrace during the warmer months.
Prepared in the traditions of Château Picol, this dinner is accompanied by the best wines from Poitou and the Loire Valley.
