Stay in a natural setting, in the heart of a 19th century castle, while remaining close to the main sites of the Loire Valley and the Futuroscope park.

Two rooms, two atmospheres

The "Love & Hummingbirds" complex comprises two rooms with very distinct characters:

"Love" — a spacious room with a view of the park, where the antique furniture, the silk four-poster bed and the 18th-century tapestry create an atmosphere of noble serenity and the charm of a castle of yesteryear;

"Hummingbirds" — a bright and welcoming room, reminiscent of a summer veranda, with large windows overlooking the pool and two separate beds, ideal for children or teenagers.

Comfort for the whole family

This is a particularly suitable solution for couples travelling with children or teenagers. The two bedrooms are connected by a private hallway and share a bathroom with double vanity and shower. A separate toilet, located nearby, is reserved exclusively for the occupants of these rooms.

Views and atmosphere

From the "Amour" room, the view opens onto the castle grounds; from "Colibris," onto the swimming pool and surrounding greenery. This combination allows each guest to enjoy their own private space while maintaining the comfort of a shared stay.

Family evening at the castle

Upon request, we serve dinner in the château's dining room, near the fireplace. Prepared according to Château Picol's traditions, this dinner is accompanied by the finest wines of Poitou and the Loire Valley. For families with children, we also offer dishes that are sure to please even the youngest guests.

"Love" Room

"Love" Bed and Breakfast space, calm and noble serenity in a 19th century castle.

Located in the heart of Château Picol, the "Amour" room combines a vast living space, an unobstructed view of the park and the charm of an old-fashioned decor.

Space and a view of the park

Spanning 47 square meters, the room opens onto the park, letting in beautiful natural light and offering views of the estate's vast green spaces. A bright and spacious room, steeped in history and possessing a unique atmosphere.

History and details

Like all our rooms, "Amour" is furnished with 19th-century pieces and decorated with antique objects. The silk four-poster bed, adorned with trimmings and tassels, evokes the refinement of bygone eras, while the 18th-century tapestry depicting Cupid lends the whole a unique historical charm.

The room has a baby cot.

In the immediate vicinity of the room are a large bathroom with double sink and shower, as well as a separate toilet, reserved exclusively for the occupants of this room.

Upon request, we serve dinner in the castle's dining room, near the fireplace. Our traditional dishes are prepared using the finest local produce and accompanied by a selection of wines from Poitou and the Loire Valley.

A warm atmosphere
Warm and welcoming, this room, like all those at Château Picol, is furnished with 19th-century pieces. The soft, muted tones of its interior, reminiscent of wild blueberry hues, create a soothing atmosphere that explains its name. The evening sun bathes it in a delicate light, inviting relaxation.

• a modern double bed;
• the possibility of installing a baby cot (flat rate of €22 for the duration of the stay);
• a bathroom with a shower;
• separate toilets.

Special moments
From the window, the view opens onto the forest. It is not uncommon, especially in the morning, to see deer strolling peacefully near the castle.

"Terracotta" Suite — the warmth of historic interiors and the comfort of castle living

The "Terracotta" suite owes its name to its palette of warm, terracotta tones, which create a distinctive atmosphere of comfort and refinement. The interior is adorned with antique engravings in gilded frames and silk velvet, while the fireplace is highlighted by a remarkable antique clock.

Spread over 45 square meters, the suite comprises a spacious bedroom with a double bed, a separate and cozy bedroom with a single bed, an entrance hall, and a large bathroom equipped with a double vanity, a shower, and a bathtub. A separate toilet completes the suite. The bathroom windows open onto the forest, enhancing the atmosphere of calm and privacy.

In the morning, it is not uncommon to see deer strolling peacefully among the trees, while the surrounding forest offers a pleasant feeling of closeness to nature.
